If you weren’t aware, Flag Day in the U.S. is on June 14th. It celebrates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which also occurred on June 14th in 1777. Although it is not an official federal holiday, June 14th was officially established as Flag Day by President Woodrow Wilson. Later in 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress. Technically this whole week is designated as National Flag Week in which people are encouraged to fly the American flag. All government buildings should also display the flag. Well if you were wondering why you’ve been seeing so many American flags, now you know. So on Friday, celebrate America’s flag and everything it represents and enjoy the day. The Junk Recycler will give an additional $10 off any job on Friday June 14th if you mention Flag Day to any of our staff. Go America.
